Pro golfers may not usually welcome hecklers on the course and let’s be honest, we wouldn’t stand a chance competing with them anyway but today was different. Today was about something bigger.
The Zach Johnson Foundation Classic brought together PGA and LPGA professionals, celebrities, and local foursomes for a great cause: helping kids and supporting families through education and community initiatives. Elmcrest Country Club in Cedar Rapids was the perfect backdrop immaculate fairways, flawless weather, and a purpose-driven crowd.
The Golf Hecklers were stationed on Hole 8, a 217-yard par three with water guarding the left and the corporate village holding strong (mostly) on the right. Let’s just say a few golf balls quenched their thirst in the pond… and some found their way into a few drink cups in the village. A couple errant shots kept the nerves and the insurance forms alive.
There were plenty of laughs, some surprisingly great shots, and nonstop energy for a fantastic cause. We’re proud to have played a small part in a big day. Huge thanks to the Zach Johnson Foundation and everyone who made this event so special.
