Peachtree City, Georgia – Pines, Heckles & Homeowner Anxiety
Our stop in Peachtree City brought us to the Associated General Contractors of Georgia outing at Flat Creek Country Club, where we posted up on the Graveyard/Flatlands #9 par 3 surrounded by towering Georgia pines and just enough nearby houses to make golfers nervous.
And nervous they were.
We saw some absolute darts hit the green. We also saw tee shots that briefly turned neighboring homeowners into unwilling spectators. At one point we laughed, we cried, and we mentally prepared apology letters for a few residents.
Thankfully, no roofs were officially harmed in the making of this outing.
The weather threatened us all day long. Dark clouds circled overhead like a dramatic golf movie montage, but somehow the rain held off until 8 PM — which coincidentally was the exact moment our flight home got delayed on the runway.
Classic.
What wasn’t delayed was the fun. The golfers brought incredible energy all day, and the heckles flew almost as often as the golf balls. Most people left smiling. A few left pretending not to smile because they got roasted after chunking one into the trees.
That’s part of the experience.
Great golfers, great people, and another unforgettable stop for the Golf Hecklers crew.
