Golf Hecklers Take on Pleasant Valley

Pleasant Valley Golf Course in Iowa City was the perfect stage for this year’s Iowa Limestone Producers Association Golf Outing — and by “perfect,” we mean there was sand, water, and enough lost golf balls to start a driving range. After several days of rain, a few of the fairways even came equipped with four-wheel-drive tracks for those adventurous enough to find them.

We were set up on Hole #4, a deceptively short par-three that had danger lurking on all sides — water on three, sand on the front, and the hecklers (that’s us) waiting for anyone brave enough to tee it up. Let’s just say a lot of people went swimming, and a few got in their daily dose of beach time in the bunker.

But between all the laughter, we witnessed some truly impressive shots — the kind that remind you why golf keeps you coming back. We even hit a few shots ourselves to help raise money for the ILPA Scholarship Program, which made every splash worth it.

A huge shoutout to TCI Manufacturing for sponsoring the hole and hanging out with us all day. They came armed with great swag and a good sense of humor — essential tools when you’re within earshot of the Golf Hecklers. Big thanks to Kellan for making it happen!

We had an absolute blast roasting (lovingly, of course) the golfers, cheering the good shots, and laughing through the rest. Can’t wait to do it again next year.

Until then — hit ’em straight (or at least straight-ish).
