Hecklers Join the “I Know Jack” Foundation Outing
Ellis Golf Course – Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Event Date: June 13th
If you were anywhere near Ellis Golf Course on June 13th, chances are you heard the sound of laughter, the occasional knock of wood, and possibly someone yelling, “That’s not how physics works!” The Golf Hecklers were honored to join the I Know Jack Foundation Golf Outing for a day that mixed great golf with an even greater cause.
Let’s start with the weather hot, muggy, and relentless. The kind of day where even golf balls were sweating. But not even Iowa humidity could slow down this crew. We set up shop and went to work, bringing the noise (and the nonsense) from the very first tee shot.
This outing had everything:
Epic drives and tragic chunks
Golf carts getting tested like off-road vehicles
And enough laughter to be heard from the next zip code
But at the heart of it all was something much more powerful the reason everyone came together: to support children and families facing pediatric brain cancer. The I Know Jack Foundation continues to do incredible work, and we were proud to be a small part of a big day.
We gave out heckles. We took a few back. We watched some nearly perfect shots and some that’ll haunt dreams for years to come. But most importantly, we saw a community come together for a cause that truly matters.
To the Hoeger family, the foundation team, and every golfer who teed it up with a smile thank you for having us. Scroll through the photo gallery, relive the best (and worst) swings, and remember:
It’s not about the score... unless you somehow landed in two different sand traps on the same hole — then we’re definitely talking about it.
See you next year,
– Golf Hecklers
