Iowa City HBA Golf Outing – Saddleback Ridge GC, Solon, IA
What a day at Saddleback Ridge for the Greater Iowa City Area Home Builders Association Golf Outing! We kicked things off with a crisp breeze and just enough dew to remind you that you're not a morning person. Golf Hecklers set up on Hole 12, a par 3 that played anywhere from 155 to 174 yards depending on which rangefinder you used (or if yours was even on).
To the right? Water. To the left? Cornfields. What could go wrong? Apparently, quite a bit. We watched balls disappear into both with the kind of precision usually reserved for government budget errors. Not sure if any detasselers were harmed in the making of this hole, but we’re filing a few “Missing Titleist” reports just in case.
Plenty of laughs, a few club slams, and maybe one adult tantrum later it was still a perfect day. Big thanks to the Iowa City HBA for inviting us to be part of the fun. Check out the gallery for all the best (and worst) swings of the day.
